Maryland and Virginia Wedding Photographer {Collin and Courtney: Married!}

The way Courtney and Collin met was actual through rival companies. Here’s how Courtney tells it:

“We met through a twist of fate and a very expensive buyout. . .
Collin, born and raised in New Jersey, moved to Northern Virginia in 2002 and started his career in the beer business at King Wholesale (a Budweiser distributor in Chantilly). In 2006, I accepted a job as a graphic designer at Guiffre Distributing in Springfield. Our paths crossed in Nov. 2007 when Guiffre and King merged to become one of the biggest Anheuser-Busch wholesalers in the state of Virginia. At that time, Collin worked as an account manager and frequently visited my office to request POS. They began talking through emails, eventually exchanged numbers, and one day Collin asked me to lunch at Dogwood Tavern.
We began dating in July 2008 and the rest is history!”

They are a super sweet couple who love the Pittsburgh Steelers (be still, my heart) and each other deeply. I can’t tell you how joyous it was to be there at their wedding-they are a very special couple and their families were amazing to be around-and fun too!

I remember when we met (feels like years ago!), we just clicked. We talked about everything from their wedding to my dog Ty (he somehow always manages to come up in conversations I have) and we were set from that day on.  There are many couples I work with that I become friends with during their planning process and after, and I know Courtney and Collin will be one of those couples.

The first thing Courtney did when she came into the venue was see me and give me a baby gift. I about cried. It was the sweetest and most thoughtful thing, and when I opened it, it was a Steelers onesie, bib, and booties. Let me tell you, my husband was pretty jealous it wasn’t a Packers suite. :) This is just the kind of couple Courtney and Collin are.

Her dress was just stunning and so incredibly perfect for her.

You are seeing double….This is Courtney’s twin sister, Ashley. Emotional from her mom first seeing Courtney’s bouquet with a photo of her grandfather on it.

You couldn’t have picked a more excited and anxious bride.

I love this. Courtney decided to do some push-ups to tone those arms right before walking down the aisle. Honestly can say, I haven’t seen a bride do this before! You go, girl!

Collin too, was very excited and anxious. His smile stayed this big the whole day!

Courtney- you are just stunning, and dang! You know how to work that camera! Hot hot hot!

I love this photo with Courtney and her twin Ashley. They are such beautiful girls, and Ashley proved to be the best Maid of Honor there ever was. When the bus was late picking them up, Ashley drove them all to the venue herself so that things would stay on track! YES!

The girls….what can I say? How amazing do they look? What a fabulously attractive bridal party!

Whitehall Manor and their staff was incredible…and their property is just stunning.

Courtney’s dad was so excited for her, telling her to take a deep breathe and get ready for the best day of her life. It was an incredible moment.

Hot bridal party+sassy pose= Happy Manda. Truly love this group!

This just makes me smile so big.

Their love for each other runs so deep that you can literally feel it oozing off of them….unless that was just sweat. I kid, I kid.

One of my favorites.

Their seating chart was fantastic and unique-that’s for sure.

The photo above and the two below were of the speeches, which were thee best speeches I have heard at a wedding. Funny, heart warming, classic and touching. All three of them were incredible and had everyone going from laughing to crying. THAT is how you do it folks….and these three nailed it!

Another favorite- this was the first time Courtney was announced officially as Mrs. Lopes and they were ecstatic! I love how excited her dad is with it too

Such an amazing day. Courtney and Collin- thanks for being the perfect couple and friends to me, you were the epitome of love and happiness on this day and I know you’ll share it for many, many years to come.  Congratulations and enjoy your new home together, you deserve all the best!
