Annapolis Maryland Portrait Photographer {Top 10 2011 Portrait Favorites}

You have no idea how hard this was to out together a list of only 10 images of my favorite portraits this year.  No idea.

This category includes engagements, children, families, and couples. I wanted to lump them together since my wedding favorites get separated into 5 categories usually and that’s a lot of posts right there.

I want to preface these by saying, just because yours may not be on here doesn’t mean anything. I love you all very much, you know that :)  I had to really narrow down the ones I felt something strong with and though they may not be your personal favorites, they are something I have become proud of over this year.  I can only hope to learn and grow even more next year!

Without further ado….here are the top 10 portrait favorites of 2011 (there may or may not be 2 honorable mentions too, for the sake for being able to get in 2 more!)

#10

This beautiful little one is Miss Caroline at 10 days old. You may remember her super sweet session here

#9

This is the Kinzie family. Meghan, the momma, and I have known each other since middle school when we lived on the same street back in NY!

#8

This is Melissa and Kevin, mom and dad to #10’s sweet Caroline. I loved their maternity session so much!

#7

This is Charlotte and Adam and their engagement session from Florida. This couple is one of the sweetest and humble that I have ever met.

#6

Hope and Tom and Chester! One of my favorite couples and dear friends.

#5

Brett and Danielle (my assistant when I was in Florida!) right before her surprise proposal! Their wedding is in March of 2012.

#4

Sarah and Stevie’s engagement session in Melbourne Florida. This farm was so cool and we almost got attacked by horses :)

#3

The infamous butt grab shot. I knew this was totally them and we have gotten lots of great compliments on this for that reason. Chris and Courtney’s engagement session.

#2

The Fortune Family. This was the last shot of the evening…it started to rain and the girls were getting tired. This shot is one of my true favorites of the whole year. I just adore these guys.

#1

Everything about this just makes me smile, and Lindsay’s eyes are just incredible! Lindsay and Andrew’s Just Because session.

Honorable mentions:

The Vail kids.

The Harvey Family/Maternity

  1. LOVE em!! We DID almost get attacked by horses! that was crazy!even crazier, I had no idea I would be on your top 10 list this year?! Or marrying the most amazing man ever with YOU to photograph it :)

  2. What an unbelievable year of photos you’ve had- they’re all amazing! I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings your way to photograph!! ;) xoxo

  3. What a great idea! It’s been a joy seeing all of your beautiful work throughout the year. I love all your top choices, but thought for sure your frisky butt grab couple would be #1. :0) Thanks for including my babies under honorable mention. We sure did have fun working with you! Erin

#3 is my fav. The bootie grab. It’s something I can relate to.I had a secret crush on my boyfriend since Sophomore year of high school, but I was too shy to say anything. Well…. a few long years later we met up again and started dating and I continually tell him I recognized his butt before I ever noticed his face. #3 is tasteful image of something I literally hold precious. Lol. Beautifully done

  5. Melissa Cook says:

My favorite is #10, my sweet baby Caroline, when she was 17 pounds lighter than she is today! :) Our newborn session with you was awesome, and we got so many amazing photos of her. We have so many of them still hanging up in our house. I love looking at them every day, and seeing how much she has changed since then! :)

  6. I love them ALLL but #9 stands out the most to me; love the movement and color.

  7. I love #2 and #9 – just happy, loving families and you captured them both perfectly!
